Designer, Carpenter, Woodturner, Decorative Painter and owner of De La Paz design shares her knowledge, insight and tips inspiring and encouraging women to wield power tools safely with creative and cost saving end results.
What: 4 - 5 Hour Hands-On Workshop where you get to learn with side-by-side instruction actually use the tools
This workshop focuses on basic home improvement tools, their functions, safety features and ideas on how you can put them to good use in your home. Learn how to safely work: Mitre Saw, circular saw, Jig Saw, Nail Gun & Compressor plus, hand tools and DIY safety. In addition, Carmen will share what she considers are the “must have components” to any household basic toolbox.

What to Expect?
Carmen De La Paz gives you the knowledge and confidence to prove tools don’t have to be intimidating. Carmen has designed these hands on workshops focusing on safety first and armed with the belief “power tools are not brain surgery, but tenacity!” With a “hands-on” and “one-on-one” approach to the introduction of power tools, Carmen is both mentor and teacher, as she arms you with knowledge and develops your confidence by learning to wield a power tool in a non-threatening learning environment. In a matter of hours, Carmen demonstrates home improvement and maintenance projects really are attainable. It’s all about using the right tool, letting the tool do the work, and the tenacity to develop some skills!
